Well, it turns out that the house where the movie was filmed is in Cleveland. Since Tom and I were there to see the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, I looked up the location of the house so I could take a picture or two and show Bob. It's located at 3159 W 11th Street. More information can be found here.

Across the street is the A Christmas Story House Museum. It was already closed for the day when we arrived.
It was a fun side-note to a wonderful couple days in Cleveland. The city, by the way, has a beautiful skyline and we found the downtown streets incredibly clean and the people very friendly.
