Vacation - May 21 2023

A few parting shots from the memorial ...

Elise Buhler (l) and Tom. Behind them is one of John's sculptures. It is shown on my May 18 blog.

Coulter Buhler (l) and Tom. Coulter is Elise and her ex-husband, Toby Buhler's, son.

These flowers were sent by Tina Welling and family.

And these by Elise Buhler of Moorcroft WY.

Old West Days in Jackson WY. It's part of their annual ElkFest. According to the Town Square Inns blog: "Each winter, thousands of elk gather at Jackson Hole's National Elk Refuge, where they shed their antlers come spring."

There were lots of animal pelts, not exactly the place to be for a PETA member in good standing. Here's Zander Buhler (above) trying one on.

Trevor (l-r), Keeley, Jacinta Davis, Zander and Tom.

Kilts for sale at a Scott's booth.

Then to Sidewinders where Tom provided lunch for everyone.

We then took a walking tour of downtown Jackson Hole. The shops are plentiful and remind me of Gatlinburg TN but with a western flare. The prices are as high as you can imagine in a tourist town.

Tom (l-r), Bill (me) and Coulter.

 Same shot, closer.

Elk antlers make an entrance to a town park.

Keeley (l-r), Tom, Bill (me), Coulter, Jacinta and Zander.

Amy (l) and Trevor Buhler.

Finally a shot of Keeley holding superdog Sammy.
