Vacation - May 24 2023

  While today was spent traveling to Moorcroft WY to stay with Elise Buhler and her husband Leonard, we had enjoyed a dinner with Tina Welling the evening before, our last official act in Jackson.

 Tina had a wonderful dinner of homemade Mac and cheese, steamed broccoli, a Mexican salad and a carbonated cranberry drink. Nuts, too. And her little dog Emmet was a joy to be around. Such soulful eyes!

 We hit the road heading east on Saturday morning and enjoyed the Wyoming landscape on the way. Though we didn't manage a visit to Yellowstone, we got very close as we headed north out of Jackson. This shot shows one of the mesas along U.S. Highway. 26 and southeast of North Breccia Cliffs.

On U.S. Highway 26 near Falls Campground. Can you see the two moose? The early morning lighting was right in our face and I took the shot through a decidedly dirty windshield. Other cars had stopped.

 Mid-day we were getting pretty hungry and finally stopped at Fast Lane in Shoshoni for pizza. Then we drove on to Moorcroft.
